Adoption Fundraiser #4 (and Adoptumentary #3)

And we are ready to launch another fundraiser! There are still a lot of bills to pay before this adoption is finalized and we are working hard to earn/save/pinch pennies to get the rest. Craig has worked 3 jobs this past year to save for our adoption and I have saved all of my earns from photography to go towards our adoption costs. We are believing that God will provide the rest through hard work and the generosity of all of the amazing people in our lives!

We still have our on going coffee fundraiser that you can check out here.

Part of my new project starting in October involves purging our house of excess, and that is the perfect launching point for another yard sale!!! Yep. We are going to repeat Adoption Fundraiser #1 and have another yard sale.

Barber Adoption Fundraiser Yard Sale
Saturday, July 28th
8am-1pm

Do you have items to donate? We'd love to have them! Our garage is open for donations to anyone who would like to get rid of their stuff. At our last yard sale we made $1,000 and we think we can do that again!

Here is a fun adoptumentary about the last yard sale:

A trip back to St. Augustine & {2nd One Mango Tree Dress}

At the end of June I had the chance to visit one of my favorite Florida cities, but the best part was seeing my best friend, Karen and her sister, Kiki. You remember Karen, right? The one who coerced me into running a marathon? Yeah, that is her and she lives way too far away! So when a chance came to see her for a day, I jumped in the car and drove the three hours there and 5 hours back (there were 11, yep, 11 car crashes on the way home. Unbelievable!) to spend time with some of my favorite people in one of my favorite cities!

And on top of that, I am wearing my second One Mango Tree dress!!! This is the one I truly wanted and my parents gave me b-day money to purchase this amazing dress. Isn't it adorable? Go buy one for yourself and support the women in northern Uganda. All of their garments are made with 100% organic AND fair trade cotton by Ugandan women artisans. Amazing!

Kiki, Me and Karen at the outlets shopping.

Ready for a coffee break and a relaxing chat.

Visiting Flagler College

Karen and I at my favorite place, Cafe Alcazar

Being snootie

Alone in the corner. Poor, Kiki!

Pretty sisters in the vineyard

Hanging out in the vineyard after a wine tasting.

After the girls left, I had some time hanging out at the fort.

Right behind me I got to witness a cannon being fired!!!
The trip was way too short, but it was great to see them both for the short time I had. Today, both Kiki and Karen are actually having a European adventure in the British Isles. Can I say jealous? Hope you ladies are having an amazing time!

St. Augustine B-day Weekend -4

If you missed the first part of our trip, click here, here and here.

The last places we explored on Craig's 30th birthday weekend were Flagler College (aka Ponce de Leon Hotel) and Castillo de San Marcos. We paid to take the tour for both and it was worth it!

And we just had a blast exploring inside of the prison/fort!

I was not suppose to do this, but while the guards weren't watching I hoped in. Hehehe!

We had a wonderful trip, but we did miss our kiddos. This trip to St. Augustine was a highlight of the year for us and I am ashamed it took me so long to get it up on the blog! Craig and I plan to go back in another couple of years to relax and escape so close to our home.

Any other close locations we should know about that are amazing? We wouldn't want to miss out on another amazing town here in central Florida!
